Mity Vac Tool-"B"From: DAmsden591@aol.com DAmsden591@aol.com Next Article (by Date): Re: Leaded & Non Leaded Fuel "Tainge" Hey All, I bought a new GMA polished 4 piston front brake caliper from Powercycle awhile back. I put it on 2 days ago. Got my Mity Vac Vacuum Tester today with brake bleed kit. I serviced the new GMA caliper, empty new braided steel line & bled in less than an hour using this. All I can say is why did I never get this sooner for use on a cage if nothing else. I filled the new caliper & brake line, reverse method, Using the Mity Vac as a pump to push the fluid into caliper & up the brake line. Then switched the hose over to the Vacuum port, hook to bleed valve, pump the Tool handle twice, crack the bleed valve, & woosh, it sucks out fluid & air. No need for someone pulling brake handle in as you do this. Just keep reservoir full as you go till you get solid stream of fluid. Topped off Reservoir, installed cover, bled once more with one pull on the brake handle while cracking bleed valve, brake handle is firm & solid, no mushiness. There is also a section in the "101 Performance Projects Book" about using this tool for those of you who have the book. This tool can be used to test Voes Switch or any other vacuum operations plus use as a leak down tester. To me it's worth the $52.00 for the capability as a brake bleeder & Vacuum Tester. As Moshe would say, I would give it at least a"B" grading. I would not think it would take more than 15 minutes to do a normal bleed on the front brake system with this tool. Will work great for changing out your Dot 5 fluid, you guys do change your fluid every 2 years, right? Also, I got the primary cover off in preparation for installing M-6 tensioner later. Am working toward painting cases Black while all covers off during my 1200 Conversion. Conversion starts tomorrow, top end gasket kit will be here then.
