I took a razor blade and cut the binding off mine.  I then loaded the
pages in some of those clear covers that are made to go in a 3 ring
binder.  I think I had to buy 3 boxes of 'em and a big 3" binder to hold
them all but it sure is great.  Lays open flat on the floor plus I never
worry about staining or ripping the pages.  Cost around $15 and an hour
or so.
