Happy New Year!

I have been on vacation since 12/22 and it has been unusually warm here in
southern Maryland. This has provided an opportunity for a ride all most
every day. On my excursions I went to view the Christmas lights and
decorations. The only other time I had ever done this is when I lived in
New Orleans back in the early 80s. We have a local place in So MD that
decorates up several acres and has several barns with antique farm
implements also, a complete general store form the early days. Did a beach
ride at the bay near where I live and it was pretty cool to see the boats at
the marina decked out. During the day I rode around the S. MD tri-county
area and it was surprising not to see more bikes than I did as there were
very few on the road. Stopped by the Dealer with a container of eggnog and
Captain Morgan to shoot the breeze with the ladies and fellas they are
pretty slow this time of year and enjoyed the eggnog. Stopped by both the
State and County police departments to hand out Christmas Cards I know many
of them form the neighbor hood and a little sucking up doesn't hurt now and
then. I will be riding today and Sunday but not probably not Monday since
they are calling for rain, too bad it is supposed to be in the 60s that day.

My New Years resolution, ride when I can and enjoy family, life is too
short. 2007 is a turning point for me it will be 10 years since I have had
been free from colon cancer, every day I am able to get up is a good day the
alternative sucks. So to all Happy New Year!
