Re: Slightly OT: chaps and trying to get wife to rideFrom: "Doug S" <dashell@signalpeak.net> Next Article (by Date): Re: Mild knobbies? "James T." $.02 At times my Sporty feels top heavy to me. When I am off the bike, leaning it right or left. However, when seated I do not get the same feel. She corners nice at low speeds. I believe my 6'3" frame explains some of my awkwardness off the bike. I have owned both a R75 & a R90 BMW, which I felt handled well at low speeds. My 93 R100 did not seem as stable. The best low-speed-handling bike I have owned was a 71 Moto Guzzi. An old CHP bike, an Eldorado, if memory serves. She would do circle-8s at an idle. Surprisingly I was not near as comfortable on my 2001 Moto Guzzi Jackal. The Jackal (fuel injected) felt even less stable after a factory recall on the throttle set-up. I must say that all these machines handled well, at speed, when the suspensions were properly serviced and set. I think my bikes had/have a bunch more cornering ability than I do.
