From Lee
>I love these
threads. Full of guys coming damn near to the LSR records on stock
bikes. The thing is, speedometers are not accurate at 100, they are barely
accurate at 55.

It's truly amazing how fast some folks think they can go. I can remember
being at Maxton [ECTA] LSR and running in the 130's early on and some guy
rides up in a truck , ask how fast is that sportster and i say 138 mph .
He then tells me about his FLH that will go that fast. Once I got in the
150's it kinda has dwindled off, tho there are still a few guys thinking a
stock HD with a 96 or 103" kit is as fast.

I did see a stock 883 [ N4 cams & breathing ] run 130's . A good tuned
sportster 883 should run close to 120 clean. A 1200 more.

Disclaimer
Folks 100+ is not for the streets, deserted or not, a dog, grandpa, joes
muffler, anything can screw up a good run. Oh yea, that high speed wobble
will get your attention. I'm guilty, sometimes i like scaring the shit
out of myself.

Do it on the dyno or track, pls.
