Mine is drilled to 1/8".  I have no complaints.  I've yet
to see back to back dyno tests to show what if any
difference it makes but the idea is sound.  This sounds
like a great project for Aaron and his dyno.  Though I'm
not sure it can measure throttle response.

I have heard the urban myth that it causes the slide to
'flutter'.  But I've seen an unaltered slide flutter during
an exhibition by Dale at MITM last year. He was attempting
to show us all how an unaltered slide was not supposed to
flutter.  And flutter it did.

I also take a small file and chamfer the leading edge of
the bottom of the slide.  It aids the air flowing past it.
