This was the oil you saw on the floor--btw, this oil does not come out of your crankcase oil supply, its from the primary case. As far as checking your oil, make sure there is some in the tank before you start, but check the oil level with the scoot standing straight up and the engine warmed up. It is not uncommon to use a little oil for the first 10k miles or so or if you are running extended periods down the freeways at 90+ mph. Ride on...
