I was tinkering with Roadkill last night. The totally
tubular, polished aluminum fuel tanks have been problematic
in their mounting brackets. So I decided to see if the
XLCR tank would fit.

Well, kinda. The stock mounting holes are about an inch
too low so the tank sits up a bit higher than I'd like.
That plus the rear tank mount is completely different than
an regular p-nut tank. But you ought to see the bike.
Inverted forks, clip on bars, sleeeek XLCR tank and XRTT
tail section. All on a slammed, lowered 10" stretched 100"
Sportster. Man was my mouth watering!

Anyway, my dilemma: This XLCR tank, would it be sToOpId to
'modify' it a bit to fit? I really hate to ruin a nice
history piece. What's the going price of one in very nice
condition?
