A decent Indy dealerFrom: Steve Lange <steve@slangexpressions.com> Next Article (by Author): Re: Diagnosing Problem Trjw1@aol.com While passing thru Indianopolis on my way from Denver to Cincinnati, I stopped
at the "new" Indy West H-D shop. Very nice! There were a lot of people and
bikes in the shop.
Prices were posted on the bikes and looked to be MSRP (except the V-Rod with no
price tag). Problem is, they add several thousand $$ of goodies to the bikes. A
2002 883R was around $9000, as I remember, and had some accessories attached.
They also had several aftermarket items, including a shock wrench for
$4.00. It wasn't *special* - just a hooked form cut from a piece of metal
plate - but it was cheap, and said it fit all Harley shocks.
Anyway, if anyone is in the area, it appears to be a good dealer to visit. BTW,
they're open 7 days a week (no bike sales or service on Sunday).
Also stopped by an old dealer in Effingham, IL. It was buried away from the
main highways (I-70 and I-57). Nothing special. No prices on the (few) bikes.
