George,

Thanks for adding those comments. I got my feathers a little ruffled, but
said oh well.

I do ride through the spring, summer and fall to work. If its raining at
leave time I take the car. I ride until the snow hits and the salt is on the
road. In all honesty I can't bring myself to destroy the bike from the salt.

Whether its a sport or just a means of transportation, I think to each there
own.

I've got 31,000 miles on my two year old bike and I never rode a motorcycle
before that, in my life. (49 YOA) I do ride it mainly for pleasure. I
never traveled much in my car, but with the bike my wife and I and I alone go
many places. After the first summer of racing around we mellowed quickly and
now head for a destination and if we make it good, and if not, maybe next
time. We're spending these cold, snowy, freezing days planning our weekends
off and vacations for next summer. Going to head north through Canada, and
south down to New Orleans. We just have to get the routes down as we want to
take backroads AMAP.

I can't begin to express the joy that motorcycling has brought into my life,
and I won't bore anyone trying. I'll only say, I wish I could ride all
yearlong.

Live to ride, ride to live
or
work to ride, ride to work

Whatever floats your boat.

Enjoy it...
