Maran:

Try "Bike Fever" by Lee Gutkind (published in 1975).  It is a good light
read about two friends who do a 34 state tour on a BMW and a Honda; true
story.  Lots of bike talk, observations of people and geography, and
some philosophy (nothing like "Zen..." which is a good book, but not
something to read on vacation IMHO).

Let me know if you read any others and if they are good.
