Crazy ignition questionFrom: Gentleman Jim <br_xl@yahoo.com> Next Article (by Date): re:motor mounts Kurt Mangos I am working on a wireless tach for a class project. Well, aside from a ground wire, its wireless. It has an antenna that senses the spark when placed against a spark plug wire, turns it into a logic level pulse and is sent to a microcontroller. When I tested it on the Sporty, it seemed fairly accurate on the rear cylinder, but it seems it was reading twice the expected RPM on the front cylinder. Is there any reason the front would fire every revolution when the rear only fires on the power stroke? It could still be a flaw in my design. Just curious.
