Got the new 4.2 gal. tank on the sporty on Sat. and took her out for a spin.
It was in the 40s so the wind felt great. Learned I cannot fill the tank all
the way up and then take off, or the cap will leak through the venting. New
tank looks great though. and everything seems to be working. Nice to not have
the gas cap rattling - now I can hear the engine better.
Got on her this morning, 30 deg. F, little or no wind and Sunny. She was a
cranky beast starting up this morn. Did the work commute (24 mi.) and by the
end I was ready to inject some heat into my face and fingers. It is the price
I have to pay to ride her this aft. when the temps climb into the 40s. It
will be worth it. Might take her out for lunch too.
