This door broke and crashed to the ground just as I was lowering it after
coming back from a ride. If it had done so as I was rolling the bike into
the garage the outcome could have been really bad. As motorcycle riders we
are exposed to a lot of risk that would be a minor inconvenience to someone
in a car or a truck.

If the door had hit the roof of my SUV it would have caused some cosmetic
damage, but I would not have been injured. If it were to hit someone on a
motorcycle or someone just walking under the door, it could kill them. That
is a serious enough outcome that I thought that it was worth bringing to the
attention of the members of this list. Maybe I was wrong; it wouldn't be the
first time.
