Clicking noise from carbFrom: "Javier Buendia" <jbuendia@kenwood.com.pa> Next Article (by Subject): RE: Clicking noise from carb "Jerry Dockens" Hello People: I always appreciate all the advise I get from you. Thanks in advance. I have a 1996 Sportster Hugger, with: -K&N Air Filter -SE slip-ons -Stock Carb with bigger jet (75) -883 to 1200 conversion kit -Stock Cylinder heads I was having pinging and overheating problems just after I make the 883 1200 conversion. I post my problem, and it was supposed that I should get bigger jets and adjust the timing of the bike. I did it and the problem was solved almost completely; Now what Im facing is that the bike after an hour of use, begins to make a strange noise (clicking or knocking noise) that seems to come out from the Air filter (Carb) and the bike loose a little of the crisp throttle response. It seems that the heat affect something that makes the engine malfunction. I think it may be something on the carb or the cylinder heads!! I wonder if anybody have had a similar problem and how they solve it. Regards, JAVIER BUENDMA Next Article (by Subject): RE: Clicking noise from carb "Jerry Dockens" |
