That price seems pretty high.

Give a look see at NHRS - they'll do the bore for $130, and it will be
done RIGHT.  They'll fit the pistons and ring gaps and assemble CLEAN
parts for $75 - thats per pair.  So for just over $200 labor you've got
CLEAN and accurate work, ready to slip over your studs, and put the pin
through.

NHRS is absolutely anal about clean and right.  They will even clean up
the top and bottom of the cylinder, make sure the bore is not canted in
relation to things, make it all square... basic anal machine work.  Take
a look at their website.  Talk to Dan over there.  Piston and ring
prices are reasonable, pretty much the same as everybody else, and
they'll do all the fitting and pre-assembly for... not much money.  They
ship 'em back to you ready to set in place - sealed in plastic bags to
keep them clean.  Worth a looksee.
