I wish more seat vendors would offer seats with optional back rests or
supports.  I am 66 with DDD and arthritis.  I went with a Mustang Wide Solo
and Matching Pillion and Sissy Bar Pad for the wife.  I didn't want the
"WIDE" Solo but it was the only one with a back rest.  I swear by it!  The
rest is adjustable up & down as well as the tilt angle.  I also use a gel
type pad for the butt.... lost most of my padding as I got older.

If it were not for these two items my riding would be very limited.  I still
like to stop often just to stretch and smell the roses... it's not the
getting there that is as important as enjoying the ride.

P.S. The original Sportster seat is listed under the "Geneva Convention" as
an Inhumane Torture Device!
